Known World Handbook - 2010 Edition

Greetings unto the Known World,

For decades the Known World Handbook (KWH) has been a must-have resource for any newcomer to the SCA. The last update to this quintessential publication occurred over 14 years ago. During the rest of this year the SCA will be revamping this critical handbook from the ground up. The goal is to release a new KWH for sale through the SCA's online Stock Clerk by the first quarter of 2010.

The final article deadline for the Known World Handbook has come and gone and we are busy reviewing all the wonderful submissions. If you have previously promised an article, we can accept it until January 5th 2010, otherwise the article gathering process is closed. Thank you to all who have submitted articles.

If you send in any articles, artwork, or photographs, please also fill out and send in the KWH release form.

Authors of existing articles in the KWH are invited to refresh, renew, and update their prior KWH articles. Please also fill out the KWH release form, scan it, and email it back to us at kwh@sca.org.

KWH Mission Statement

• is targeted to newcomers to the SCA with less than 2 years experience.
• will be universal with concepts that span all kingdoms.
• will contain topics and information that will last at least 10 years.
• needs to support existing SCA documents and handbooks, not try to replace them.
