SCA Inc. is excited to share an update on the ongoing work toward the creation of a new peerage for practitioners of the ranged missile arts. This peerage, which will recognize the dedication and skill of those in the archery, thrown weapons, and siege weaponry communities, is progressing steadily.
We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the College of Arms for their tremendous efforts in preparing an initial option for the name and heraldry of this peerage. Their expertise and dedication have been invaluable in shaping this important recognition.
We also want to thank everyone who has taken the time to provide feedback thus far. Your input is vital in ensuring that this new peerage truly reflects the values and identity of this community. We continue to encourage all members to share their thoughts and perspectives as we refine this proposal.
The Board of Directors is committed to a transparent and inclusive process as possible. In keeping with this, the Board will consider the College of Arms’ primary proposal alongside other options that will be submitted. This will occur at the same time to keep things moving forward as swiftly as possible.
We are listening to our membership and the communities involved, and the Board is eager to move forward with a decision that honors the contributions of those who excel in the ranged missile arts.
