As a world-wide Society, getting to talk to all our members is a little difficult in person. Thankfully, modern technology has given us the opportunity to able to connect on a regular basis and discuss the important topics that matter for SCA members and participants.

Introducing SCA Topical Town Hall Sessions! Use the form below to send in your topic proposals. The topical Town Hall schedule will be posted once dates, times, and guests are confirmed.

What is a Topical Town Hall Session?
Town Halls are virtual question-and-answer sessions around topical subjects that matter to our SCA community.  They will be structured around particular topics to allow questions to be asked of relevant members of the SCA Board of Directors, Corporate and Society Officers, and other Subject Matter Experts to ensure that you are getting direct information from the most informed sources.

How are topics chosen?
We are seeking your guidance for the topics – we’ve had feedback from our members that there are definitely topics you want to discuss, and this form helps us identify what those are so we can arrange to have the right people available to answer your questions.

Once a topic is selected, we’ll then seek questions from the community to form an initial part of the discussion.  Sessions will also have a moderator selecting questions from the online chat to allow for real-time input.

What will a normal session look like?
Sessions will run for approximately 45 minutes to an hour, and will normally involve 2-3 people, plus the host.  Using Zoom, we’ll stream to Facebook and YouTube to ensure as many people as possible have access to them.  The sessions will also then be available via the Society YouTube channel if your schedule doesn’t allow you to watch in real-time.

These will be regular sessions, held once a month, and they will be promoted on our social channels so you know when they are coming, what the topic is, and who the guests will be.

So what do we need from you?
We want to hear from you! These sessions are about giving our members up-to-date information on the topics that matter – and we can’t do that if you don’t let us know what they are.
