Throughout the month of February, the Society is celebrating Black History Month – building and broadening our understanding of the rich, complex history of the nations of Africa and its peoples pre-17th century. Our social media channels will be sharing a range of information and opportunities for learning, preferencing sources and scholars from Africa and the African diaspora.
Black History Month is an annual observance originating in the United States. It has received official recognition from governments in the United States and Canada, and more recently has been observed in Ireland, and the United Kingdom. It is celebrated in February as part of SCA Inc. Corporate Recognition Calendar and our continuing commitment to education and learning.
