The William Blackfox Awards - A.S. 41

The William Blackfox AwardsGreetings -
This is my fourth and final year administering the Master William Blackfox awards. This has always been the best part of serving as Society Chronicler, and that has not changed. What has changed is that later this year, for the first time websites will be recognized for excellence with Blackfox Awards. The name of the website awards may eventually change, but for at least this first year, they will fall under the Blackfox banner. Look for an announcement in a couple of months from Don Thomas Dudley, the Society Webminister.

The selection of winners is always difficult. I am pleased that more kingdoms are now announcing their nominees in their newsletters, so that these Chroniclers, authors, and artists are recognized within their kingdoms for their work. The winners always beat out very stiff competition, and are truly worthy of recognition.

When the Awards were initially announced this year, I had a new category for "Best Electronic Layout." Since only one kingdom singled out a newsletter for this type of layout (although several newsletters were online editions), I have folded this nominee into the "Best Layout and Design" category.

This year, as I did last year, I have chosen at least one winner and commended entry in each category. Winners will receive a Blackfox token, a certificate, and the right to use "Master William Blackfox Award Winner, (category), AS XLI" in their newsletters along with the Blackfox logo. Commended entries will receive a certificate as well.

Please help me congratulate this year's winners.
